«Todo comenzó hace más de 50 años cuando mis abuelos decidieron abrir las puertas del restaurante «Restaurante El Tablero», situado en la carretera general de San Miguel de Abona. Tras tres generaciones totalmente implicadas y dedicadas a la hostelería, el servicio al cliente y con una finca a escasos metros del local, surgió la idea de seguir creciendo y comenzar a crear un lugar bonito y agradable para organizar eventos y celebraciones donde cualquier persona pudiese sentirse a gusto y disfrutar de los suyos y en buena compañía.»
Translation It all began more than 50 years ago, when my grandparents decided to open the doors of the restaurant “Restaurante El Tablero”, on the main road through San Miguel de Abona. After three generations wholly devoted to hospitality and to looking after people, and with a finca just a few metres from the restaurant, the idea came to keep growing and to create a beautiful, pleasant place for events and celebrations, where anyone could feel at home and enjoy their people, in good company.

At Carretera General del Sur, 18, in San Miguel de Abona, in the south of Tenerife, about 680 metres above the sea. According to Google Maps it is about 15 minutes by car from Tenerife South airport, about 22 from Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, and about 55 from Santa Cruz and Tenerife North airport. There is free parking.
02What celebrations do you host?
Weddings, christenings, first communions, birthdays and family gatherings. The finca takes care of the organisation and the cooking.
03Can the ceremony take place at the finca?
Yes: civil ceremonies are held on the terrace, beneath the pergola of the heart, with the horizon behind. If you marry in church, you can hold the celebration at the finca afterwards, as many couples do.
04Who does the cooking?
The house itself: the family has run Restaurante El Tablero for more than fifty years. Their website listed group menus at €25 and €29 per person, drinks included, served to share between four. The wedding menu is made to measure: ask the finca.
05Do you cater for coeliacs and allergies?
One bride writes in her review that her coeliac guests ate without worrying about cross-contamination. Tell the finca about any allergy or diet when you plan the menu.
06How many guests can you take?
The finca doesn’t publish a maximum capacity. Write with your number of guests and they’ll tell you how to set it up.
07How late does the party go on?
The finca’s opening hours on Google run until 1am, every day of the week.
08What is the weather like in San Miguel de Abona?
Mild all year: from 2015 to 2024 the average high was about 17 °C in January and about 26 °C in August, and rain is rare. The sea stays between 20 and 24 °C.
09Is it accessible?
According to Google, the entrance, the car park and the toilets are wheelchair accessible.
